Per aggiornare Ubuntu esiste il comodo update-manager: esso permette di aggiornare i pacchetti della distribuzione in uso a quelli più recenti.
Forse non tutti sanno però che è possibile anche aggiornare il sistema da una distribuzione alla successiva (ad esempio da Ubuntu 6.10 (Edgy Eft) a Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn):
basta digitare al terminale
update-manager -c -d
e seguire le istruzioni.
